Instantly knew I had found a classic..... into the small front bar and was confronted with four beers that would make up my death row (liquid) dinner. Bathams Bitter, Jaipur, Three Tuns and Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Mild (chosen, delicious, asked if I would like a handle jug).

Wye Valley HPA (also regularly enjoyed) and a couple more made for possibly the most impressive line up I have seen.

A rear dining room - although its possibly only cobs on offer - a side room and an unexplored outdoor patio.

So why not the 10 points.... Not a comfy seat to be had. Church style pews, where my other newly met drinking partners in the rear room said their backs couldnt stand any more and promptly left.

Chuck in a couple of Chesterfields and this would be a 10 :-)

Just as good as we remembered and boy, did we need it after the dire Mill. Ram-packed with excellent scoops of Bathams Mild (NBSS 3.5) and Titanic PP (4.5). Cracking boozer with a great atmosphere. A shame that we're always a bit pissed when we wash-up here! 9.5.

A cracker of a place, everything felt ‘just so’ despite being rammed. Two small rooms knocked-together via an arch if I recall correctly. A variety of ales on, I opted for a Titanic Plum Porter and was rewarded with an excellent pint (NBSS 4). GBG’23 listed and rightly so. Would have stayed longer if we hadn't more pubs to tick off. Rated 9

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Robin Hood

Great side-street pub, set slightly above road level at the front but level access available via the rear car park and patio seating area. Very traditional but compact two-part layout at the front, with the bar to the left and a lounge to the right of the entrance. More seating in a rear room behind the latter. A very limited cob-based menu, as you would expect... Four regular beers from the ten handpumps: Batham's Best Bitter (£3.60), Wye Valley HPA, Three Tuns XXX and Proper Job, plus four guest beers from the likes of Enville and Bewdley, together with a couple of draught ciders.
