your archetypal olde-worlde tourist pub. though possibly also a community pub. it's a short walk from the beach and is in an 800 year old thatched building (though apparently only became a boozer in the 60s). low beams, tourist information leaflets and food menus reign supreme. it's still basically a 'proper pub' though with a lively bar and hearty food (rather than gastro nonsense). shame about the tedious choice of Doom Bar and Tribute on the bar - with the place bustling with middle class tourists would it really hurt to give us a guest ale? anyway i liked it, a cosy old inn.

The best pub i've ever visited, and i've visited a fair few. Very friendly atmosphere being the centre of the local community and tourists alike. The food is excellent and you will always receive a warm welcome, especially fromnorm the local drunk

Food isnt served all day as the pub isnt open until midday, the food is not bad for what i paid,
