Cask here was the Bushey's Manx Bitter and their OMG (Old Market Grog). Keg offering of Theakston Mild and Best, Stowford Press, Guinness, Norseman lager and Madri.

Front bar is a cosy affair with the bar counter immediately on the left just inside the door. Red lino with a green padded banquette fitted around the front and right-hand wall serving regular tables with small similarly padded stools the other side thereof. Lots of pictures and photos packed onto the limited amount of wall space and I recall the surgically bright strip light on the ceiling from my previous visit pre pandemic. Rear bar is slightly larger and has a serving hatch to the bar. Identical flooring and banquettes fitted around the perimeter serving small copper topped tables. Likewise identical lighting but with the larger room it doesn’t feel as bright. A TV was showing a property program on my visit. Old school in a pub context probably invented as a descriptive term for this place.
