The sign outside boasts excellent cask ales, but on walking past the two hand pulls were both unclipped, so don't pin all your hopes on this place!

A small but friendly pub just off the road leading up to the station. A couple of handpumps dispensed some indifferent beers but the people inside were pleasant and polite so it'll do for me.

A basic town centre pub, on the narrow bottleneck just south of the central crossroads. There's a pair of hand pumps on the bar, but just Old Speckled Hen available. This was in good condition, but it's by no means a favourite of mine and I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, though the atmosphere and the service were friendly enough.
