Beautifully positioned next to the Mersey on the promenade, this is a 6/10 pub in a 10/10 location. food dominated inside with the headless chicken staff you usually get in such places. Real ales were all from Marstons and the one I had was utterly dire dishwater. Pleasant enough inside but you only come here for the convenience or the views.

The Ferry is decent looking pub that is in a great location next to the River Mersey giving it great views of Liverpool and Bootle.
Once inside the bar faces, the room is oblong shaped and carpeted, there is not that much seating in the main bar area with just three fixed bench seats in three bays with tables, these were difficult to get seated in when the pub was empty inside, there is a dining room up some steps to the left which probably has more comfortable seating and better views from the windows.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Ferry bitter which was Tetley bitter rebadged, this was a decent enough drink, the other beers were Moorhouses Blonde Witch and Doom Bar.
This is a very pleasant pub to sit outside for the views and may well be nice if having a meal.

Refurbished last year and not before time. Now a very nice pub. Good views inside and out looking over the Mersey. Real ale available.
