rowdy city centre pub with a fairly plain bare boarded interior. Popular with a hard drinking older crowd. Mainly because it’s so cheap, with offers like ‘5 shots for £6.50’. Used to be famous for its Aussie White served from a barrel, perhaps it still is? Sadly the hand pump doesn’t seem to be used.

A lively pub mainly frequented by the older age range. Likes its karaoke/crap singer and a hearing aid with a mute button would come in handy. Cheap beers and therefore can attract the unclean and mingebags. That said it is usually a jolly place and if you're into these places then bingo.

A fairly basic interior of tongue and groove boarding with plain bareboards, the bar counter runs down one side of the room dispensing the standard UK range of kegs, there is a solitary handpump with fairly average Bombardier. On my visit there was an electric guitarist playing to an audience of extremely lively middle aged and older patrons, some of whom were dancing, most of whom were well away. Many empty pint pots and shot glasses covered most tables, all this at 7:30 on a cold Thursday evening. On ordering a half of Bombardier I was told they don’t sell halves. The atmosphere is much like a decent Irish bar. Lots of fun I guess if you’re in the right mood.
