This pub used to be a regular of mine many years back. These days, I only tend to visit it on football days, when it seems to be popular when either Liverpool or Everton are at home. Away fans seem to like it especially when they visit Goodison Park.
Yesterday, before a Merseyside derby, it was comparatively quiet with easy access to the bar. It's a Greene King pub and usually stocks 1 or 2 of their real ales. Most people seem to opt for the lagers or other national brand keg choices.
TVs show football and other sports. They are dotted throughout what is quite a large single room, which still maintains a cosy feel.

Popular with both home and away fans, as well as locals, this is a bland Greene King pub next to Anfield stadium. several sports TVs, a fairly large pub with little of interest. Two hand pumps had plastic glasses on indicating they were unavailable, these were Speckled Hen and Abbots so no loss.

Right next to Liverpool FC ground, Anny Rd end. Will be packed for home games obviously but on other days its a comfortable enough pub with one large room.
