This 'spoons is housed in what looks like a former pub which means the interior is not that large,has some character and winds around in different sections.The entrance leads to a section with high tables ,to the right by a curved frontage is a seating area while past the central bar there is a back lounge with some wood panelling,with a door opening to a beer terrace outside before a return door to the front area past the loos and the gaming machines.
Besides the trio of Doom on my visit there were a selection of Ilkley ales.Situated not far from the station and by the walled entrance to Micklegate this is a popular gathering place for circuit drinkers and the atmsophere can get lively.
A better than average 'spoons.

A relatively small Spoons and feeling fairly confined which does perhaps make it a bit more publike than usual. Otherwise much as expected. Guest ales on were 3 Roosters, 1 Rudgate and a Salopian, which is fair enough. There are better pubs not far away but it does its job quite well.

Not much to add to the previous reviews but it’s a small multi space spoons all on one level, 10 pulls; one off, one cider, the unholy trinity and some Christmas seasonals. They were only serving from the side of the U shaped counter, one end being glasses return the other seemingly devoted to servicing App’ orders. Not an exciting pub even by Spoon’s standards, it might be better than the Postern Gate but only due to its small size although it can get rammed very easily, especially on race days!!!
