Another change of name, I stick to the old adage; the more name changes the worse the quality of the pub. Handpumps now gone just two horseshoes of national brands, with the usual popular choice of four latin lagers, Guinness, two ciders, Camden Hells, Neck Oil, two pales and John Smith’s smooth. Fairly minor decor changes from previously, they are aiming for a Victorian Jules Verne vibe by the looks of it. Lots of screens on various sports channels, and machines of course. Stay tuned for the next makeover.

Graham Coombs left this review about The Harrogate Arms
A fairly conventional large town pub which seems to be trying to cover all the bases and serve as a lunchtime venue, sports bar and circuit pub, in which it probably succeeds reasonably well. The large pubby bit at the front is perhaps a bit cluttered while the separate games area to the rear features darts and pool. Sports TVs are scattered throughout. There are some nice historic-looking features which may or may not be original. On handpump were TT Landlord, Theakston's Pale, Doom Bar and something labelled Banoffie Pie, although I couldn't make out where from due to bar blockers.

After many name changes and style, this pub is currently the Harrogate Arms. It's currently in one of its better guises. although still not great. It majors on sport and also has a couple of pool tables. It's a bit generic and I doubt that this will become a regular haunt as thee are many better pubs in Harrogate.
