One of Camra's heritage pubs - follow the link for a detailed description. The exterior is impressive: a material called larvikite, an igneous rock found in Norway. Internally, it's the snug at the rear that is of most interest. Nothing very interesting on the bar, for those who prefer real ale. My half of Mann's Chestnut mild was ok, and the woman serving was quite pleasant once she'd decided I wasn't a mystery shopper. This is not a bad pub at all, and if it served two or three well chosen real ales it would be worth seeking out.

One the few remaining pubs on the long Prescott Rd. A 3 roomed traditional style pub. Lots of Liverpool Fc memorabilia in the room to your right as you enter from the main road including large paintings of Liverpool managers. No real ale. It is quite lively of an afternoon with the older generation having a jolly time.
