Not a Wetherspoons anymore. Re-opened as The Picture Drome. Its a large cavernous place that is open plan. Raised areas are on the left side of the pub and when you enter. 4 handpumps on the bar with 2 on today serving New World Pale and Roosters Blind Jack, which at £1.50 a pint was a bargain. It hasn't really changed since it was a Wethers years ago. Its not great but probably the best on this stretch of Kenny and Fairfield. And your only chance of any real ale.

This Wetherspoons pub is sited in a busy area in the Fairfield district of Liverpool, and on my visit around noon on a Tuesday fully expected a thriving pub full of drinkers and diners alike. On entering my first thoughts were the pub was closed, but then i did find 3 customers strewn around this large pub,and also observed that the pub was very bare and was void of any wall pictures and other miscellanea that seems to be the norm. There was no food menus on the tables and no person behind the bar(although this is not to unusual)On the plus side when i did get served the Jamaica Stout was in fine fettle.

A J D Wetherspoon establishment which I on 3 June 2010. I ordered a pint which was close to going off - there was a faint vinegar smell about it, but the bar staff didn't seem to be too worried and just said 'its getting close to the end of the barrel'.
