Rambling spoons over three levels, counter near the back to the left. Usual layout, the dross is on the furthest bank of five pulls but only Doombar looked to be running there, on the other bank three were in use, one just went off as I got there the other had a clip saying we’re proud to support CAMRA. Not a lot to say, beer was average, it was much better in the Bishops Mill and the staff, at both actually, were much better than average.

A town centre 'Spoons wedged into some old buildings, which creates a rather confused interior, including a raised level to one side. Usual Wetherspoon offerings, although the beer range did include some interesting local ales. Rather too cramped and busy to be a destination pub, but handy for the shops and especially for the bus station opposite.

This is a smaller Spoons especially for a city centre. As noted several times below it's split into various areas on different levels. I did notice that the food clubs here are cheaper, Steak Club £6.35 and Chicken Club £6.10. Both include a pint of any real ale. As it was Wednesday I went for the Chicken Club.
The bar is at the back on the left and has ten hand pumps which had two ciders, the JDW Trio Of Doom, Maxim Maximus & Azacca Pale, Yard Of Ale Hellcat Blonde, Shepherd Neame Redpoint Disco Macaw and Sonnet 43 Aurora. I had a Hellcat Blonde, Maximus and a few days later an excellent Kelham Island Pale Rider. All were £1.99.
I thought this was a decent Spoons especially for a city centre one.
