Callaghans is a basic L shaped boozer with a bar that supports standard draught products and one hand pump that looked as though it had not been used for many years. To the left of the bar is a pool table and dartboard and above the front door is a plasma screen that was airing Magic FM during my visit on a recent Friday afternoon. The seating extends around the exterior walls leaving lots of standing room. There are some gaming machines and karaoke was advertised for the first Thursday of every month. In the centre of the pub was a half masticated bone which suggested that a large dog was lurking somewhere on the premises. Children are permitted before 18:00 and the only food I saw advertised were bar snacks such as toasties which were priced at £1.50.

This is not a pub I will be actively searching out again.
