A perfectly adequate upmarket Spoons which is a real blessing if you’re looking for decent beer around Canary Wharf. Pleasantly plush interior with a few different separate areas, it had a sedate atmosphere on a Sunday morning. A few beers on focused on the Twickenham brewery.

After a visit to the Museum of London Docklands next door decided to pop in here for a post exhibition pint. A very pleasant airy building,unchanged from remembrances, but this one continues to disappoint on the beer front. Only one ale available outside the trilogy of doom that dominated most of the pumps, and that was a stout, so not a great offering and no sign of discount ‘spoons pricing here ( as I didn’t have my vouchers it did cost over £5.) . The only saving grace was that we were blessed with a fine sunny March day and the outside terrace area to the front is an excellent afternoon sun trap

Upmarket Spoons in a rather exclusive set of converted buildings facing the dockside. The exterior has a rather lovely set of blooms on the go and the interior is really quite impressive – modern and sleek. The main room is a long rectangle with a skylight allowing in plenty of rays. Corridor has three separate small rooms off it, so plenty of options. Nautical themed toilets are quality. The bar prices were the highest I’ve ever seen in a Spoons outside the airport outlets but context is everything and the 50p Timbo Token softened the blow a bit on my pint of Twickenham Naked Ladies (NBSS 3.5 at £4.54 after said discount) though it was interesting to overhear the staff complaining about the state of one of the other pumps which spluttered and died on my initial order. Overall, I quite liked this one.
