Strongers . left this review about The Bole Bridge (JD Wetherspoon)
The Bole Bridge is a long and thin Wetherspoons with high tables at the front and standard tables opposite the serving counter that runs up the right-hand wall. At the rear is alarge open plan seating area ideal for dining. The counter supports two banks of five hand pumps with one drawing the usual suspects and the other drawing Titanic’s Plum Porter, Burton Bridge’s Sovereign Gold, Brew 61’s Grazing Girls, Black Hole Brewery’s Cosmic and Theakston’s Old Peculiar. The Porter was £2.63 a pint, so I stayed for two. A decent Spoons that’s worth a visit.

Fairy modern Spoons over a hybrid knock-together of two distinctly separate buildings. Tasteful internal décor with duck egg blue shades, the front area is the most characterful before the inevitable opening-out into the classic long and narrow room with that ‘canteen’ feeling. High standards here; well-staffed who were well-drilled and pleasant. Five genuine guest beers, my Kirkstall Dissolution was in decent nick (NBSS 3). So a well-run decent, Spoons on this showing; other JDW branches should come here and see how it's done.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bole Bridge (JD Wetherspoon)
Curious hybrid of a structure, with the western part being a traditional sort of market town building and a larger modern extension containing much of the seating. There aren't a lot of windows along the main facade, but as these are south facing it is still fairly bright indoors (except for the old bit). There is also a reasonably-sized patio area outside. Only four of the ten handpumps on this visit (my first for eight years), but thankfully it was all the dull stuff unavailable... That left Exe Valley Devon Gold, Inveralmond Daracha and two porters: Sambrook's Powerhouse and Backyard Jamestown (£2.15).
