Ian Mapp left this review about The Bole Bridge (JD Wetherspoon)
Odd shaped Wetherspoons. I cant work out what the building(s) used to be. Inside, very much a standard Spoons - where I look for the token comfy seating. This time, limited to the half dozen booths at the rear of the pub.
I was in the day before the latest beer festival. A case of look at what you could have won - with the landlord telling me all about it. Then giving me a leaflet to read at my leisure.
In preparation, all the guest ales were IPAs - about half a dozen of them. I went for an Indian Brewery IPA. It was reasonable in quality and exceptional in cost. £2.35.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bole Bridge (JD Wetherspoon)
Curious hybrid of a structure, with the western part being a traditional sort of market town building and a larger modern extension containing much of the seating. There aren't a lot of windows along the main facade, but as these are south facing it is still fairly bright indoors (except for the old bit). There is also a reasonably-sized patio area outside. Good selection of local cask ales as usual on this revisit - Phoenix Gold and Tropical Delusion from Byatt's, Silhill's Wow, Hazy Bale Ale from Brew 61 (£2.78) and Titanic Plum Porter - in addition to the obligatory Ruddles, Doom Bar and Abbot on the two banks of five handpumps.

Strongers . left this review about The Bole Bridge (JD Wetherspoon)
The Bole Bridge is a long and thin Wetherspoons with high tables at the front and standard tables opposite the serving counter that runs up the right-hand wall. At the rear is alarge open plan seating area ideal for dining. The counter supports two banks of five hand pumps with one drawing the usual suspects and the other drawing Titanic’s Plum Porter, Burton Bridge’s Sovereign Gold, Brew 61’s Grazing Girls, Black Hole Brewery’s Cosmic and Theakston’s Old Peculiar. The Porter was £2.63 a pint, so I stayed for two. A decent Spoons that’s worth a visit.
