Nice interior but sadly with nasty beer, Doombar on one pump, reversed Landlord clip on t'other, judging by the Doom that was a blessing. The barmaid was non-plussed when I ordered Doombar and the pump actually creaked when used. Two rooms, snug to left, main bar to right, faux Victorian as usual but nicely done with odd original touches if you look. Old photo decor and more bloody loud music - what is it with Selby?

The New Inn is a typical looking town pub that is set in a terrace with shops either side of it.
Once inside there is a small snug to the front left,i had a drink in the larger lounge to the right, this room runs to the rear of the pub,the room is carpeted and the seating is comfy bench type and small stools.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Leeds Best which went down very well, the other beer was Leeds Pale.
There was a TV on showing a football match, the rear area of the room looked to be a bit of a mess.
The pub was fairly busy with a mix of drinkers.
I was happy enough having a drink here.

Although the service here is friendly and efficient, our experience of the beer wasn't great. An unimaginative offer of Deuchars IPA, Tetleys Cask and John Smiths Cask. I tried the Deuchars and only manged half the pint. The front bar is however a pleasant place to enjoy a drink so if you don't fancy an ale then it's worth a stop.
