A street corner pub with 12 bedrooms,it's very close to Paddington station with internal branding POP.On entering the L shaped interior ,there was a strong smell of pub grub food,with lots eating from a shortish menu of mains and burgers generally around £14 with some cheaper jackets at £8.
The interior has a series of seating booths along the window,some high tables and two seater dining tables,while the rear leg has more bench seating and banquettes.The muzak was R&B dirge while two flatscreens show Sky Sports,on mute on my visit.There is also a train departure screen.
At the bar the ale options were London Pride,St Austell Tribute and TT Landlord (NBSS 3),a dull selection and ubiquitous throughout central London.Keg options were also mainstream.Card only at the bar.
This close to the mainline station it attracts a transient customer base and hence feels dull ,functional and forgettable.No need for a revisit.

A lively pub just outside the station. There is one L-shaped room with perhaps a little too much emphasis on food but nice enough for a pint or two. Pavement tables line the outsides. Ales on were Tribute, Wainwright and TT Landlord.

The Pride of Paddington has booth seating that runs below the windows along the long left hand side of the pub. These booths are faced by the bar that supports five handpumps, one of which was unused and two of which were off during a recent Friday afternoon visit. This left St Austell’s Tribute and Courage Best alongside some standard and premium keg products. Banquette seating runs along the rear wall creating an L-shaped pub. For some reason a single line queue had formed at the bar, which I ignored to be served promptly. This is an OK pub, but I think that ‘Pride of Paddington’ is a bit of a stretch.
