Appropriately situated on the coast road leading north from the town centre, the window seats (as observed previously) offer excellent views over Oban Bay. Otherwise, it's a pleasant enough, if fairly bland, bar/lounge with music playing at a low level and three TV screens (with the volume turned down). Tennent's lager (at £3.10 a pint), Carling lager, Stella Artois, John Smith's and Guinness were all on tap, but there was no sign of any real ale.

A street corner bar on the esplanade, with a raised area near the large front window so that diners can enjoy the views across the harbour and to the islands that shelter it. Nearer to the bar is a tiled area with stools and a couple of tables for drinkers. The usual Scottish fonts are supplemented by a single hand pump with a varying beer from Fyne Ales, which may count as a local ale if the distance from brewery to pub is measured as the crow flies, but it's a whopping 48 miles by road - actually, in Scotland that still counts as local. The ale that was on when I visited was Highlander 4.8%, which was in good condition and well served by the friendly young woman at the bar.

Had a few pints here over the years.good to sit in the windows and look out over the loch with a beer in hand..
