Visited 28/08/24. Visited as Bar Story on 10/07/21 in that summer where we were all finding our feet visiting drinking places reasonably unencumbered once more!
Great name for a venue. Long venue with an outside covered area at the front (assuming you enter the same direction as me) sharing the space with the large pizza kitchen / oven with the fully covered arch venue beyond that with the servery on the left-hand side. Seating throughout is basic tables and chairs. The arch part is atmospheric and had the (Latin) music booming during my late-night visit. Indeed, the speakers were so large that I am surprised I wasn't blown to oblivion as it felt difficult escaping sitting close to one. Nice art on the walls and a couple at the bar playing Connect 4 proves how off the scale cool this place is - a polar bear drinking Coors with Van Damme would look dorky here.
Keg only beer choices, namely Guinness, Five points XPA, Sassy cider and a pale and a lager from Birdhouse Brewery (ok a new one for me). Beyond my bedtime here so I had a nightcap of their organic red wine rather than add further beer volume.
For me, the place was tolerable on a quiet night. I recall from my previous visit on a Saturday early evening it was a very popular place and other than the name change it felt v similar. Easy to lose sense of perspective here!

In a railway arch a few doors away from Brick.Shabby chic style but busy enough.Lots of outside seating.Dull beer range .Hobgoblin-gold at £2.60 a half on keg was the default choice. No cask.Another summer months venue.
