We stopped off here for Dinner following a trip to Chester last Saturday. We had Steak and Ale Pie, Chicken Monte Carlo and Braised Barnsley Lamb, all of which was excellent. All those not driving had Hardy & Hansons Dark Beer. I had a coke. It's a traditional inn with coal fires and friendly staff.
