Old Boots left this review about Queens Head Inn
Two bar stone built pub in a tiny village nestling at the bottom of a valley between the A59 and Nidderdale proper. Largely given over to food and with seven letting rooms it still has a local following of casual drinkers. Friendly and attentive staff, of more mature years as were most customers. Black Sheep Bitter and Old Peculier plus Rooster's Special as a guest, the Roosters was decently kept but my second pint suffered from a protein haze. Kegs from Carling, Worthington, Guinness, Grolsch and Thatchers cider. Traditionally decorated with white walls, old beams, plates, brassware and some of those small wooden shields presented by various organisations to favoured customers and friends. There are several pictures of different Queen's heads, that is the women not other pubs. Unusual stone fireplaces and not very comfortable seating in each room. Music is constantly played at low volume, it was a selection 1960s hits during my visit.
