Old Boots left this review about Wellington Inn
Much extended, popular stone-built pub on the edge of Nidderdale not far from the US 'spy base' at Menwith Hill. A food led pub but with a range of well kept ales from Black Sheep (Bitter), Tetleys, Skipton Copper Dragon (Pippin) and Timmy Taylors (Landlord), plus the predictable kegs found everywhere. The original pub houses a comfortable bar with pool table and the long extension provides more space, essentially for diners, in a baronial hall styled room, the fireplace is especially magnificent. Behind is a dining room with spectacular views across part of Nidderdale. The staff are pretty good but at times tumbleweed drifts behind the bar accompanied by a softly whistling wind and the hint of a howling coyote.
