the food is poor and they are not friiendly its like being stuck in a a time warp they have not moved for word

The landlord was not welcoming, appeared more interested in the horse racing.
All the smokers occupy the tables in the sun at the front of the pub. Any walkers with a dog are confined to eat with the smokers at the front of the pub. Food was poor 3/10.
Pub is in a lovely setting and freehouse, sadly the landlord appears to have passed his best.

This welcoming and comfortable village pub is popular with walkers, being close to the Pennine Way. Family run, friendly service. Ales on offer include Adnam’s and Tetley’s .
The food is excellent, reasonably priced, extensive menu. Specials board, veggie menu & children’s menu. No smoking area. There is a beer garden, but it wasn’t the weather for sitting out today.
