This place has seemingly changed a lot since Stev’s visit of over 12 and a half years ago, and that’s not just the name. Venue is on the seafront and there are some tables out the front, but not hugely attractive given the main road. Into the front of the pub are an assortment of tables and barrels with multi coloured chains. A leather banquette in the front window is probably the prize seating aspect here. The bar is along the right hand wall and there are some booth tables along the left hand wall. The colour scheme is pleasing with some fish based colourful wall paper on the wall with the TV in front of the bar. An unused fire grate is on the opposite wall to create a homely feeling in the venue.
Beer wise it is a mixture of familiar and, to me, unfamiliar in terms of some of the craft offering. Regular beers, it is all keg here and no cask, are Guinness, Blue Moon, Pravda, Madri, Aspall cider and Jute (in a lot of venues now so I would see it as common place). Less regularly seen abound and were Hazed & Confused a pale ale from the Loud Shirt Brewing Co, Pondwater Pale, a lager called Constant Elevation from Cloak & Dagger and a mango pale ale from Only with Love. Definitely wins the prize for the most interesting range of the day, but hardly surprising given my venue choices today.
Probably my favourite venue of the day. Nice vibe in the pub, nice location and a choice of what to have on the beer front. Would definitely add to my list of places I would return to.

Doctor Brightons is an L shaped gay bar with a pool table and table football at the rear. There is some sofa seating at the front of the pub and the toilets are located downstairs. The two hand pumps on the bar were unused during my visit on a quiet Tuesday evening so there was only a standard draught selection available. There is a cocktail menu, but I plumped for a Fosters that came in at £2.80 a pint.
I found the staff to be very friendly, but this isn’t my sort of place so I very much doubt I will return.

Nice pub, sells real ale and, wait for it, English Wine. Didn't try any though. Also serves cocktails, not sure if it does food, didn't see any mention.
