Quite a small Spoons this one. Seating on two levels but can imagine there is a struggle for seating on a busy night. A small seating area outside. Friendly service was had here though. Not too much to recommend unless you are ticking off Spoons however.

A pretty grotty modern Spoons near Tower Bridge at the base of an anodyne block of flats. Looks unappealing from the outside and the interior doesn’t lift it; quite dark and gloomy, dull furnishings with a few coked-up punters in situ and the aircon turned up to max, needlessly. Just three cask in total which is possibly the worst I’ve seen in a JDW and at high prices too. Comedy service from a friendly barmaid, though the eventual output of Abbot was sharp and on-the-turn (NBSS 1). A real blight on the estate, this one. I can only assume poor current management as it has scored well with others in the past. 2.5

A modern Spoons in the bottom of a residential block, L-shaped with a raised area down one side. Clean and tidy though not a lot of atmosphere but fulfils a useful need in the no-mans land past the edge of the city. Food was below average but the beer range has improved slightly; the Twickenham Chocolate Porter was in excellent form and Ringwood 49er was also available.
