Update a couple of years on, there is a new management since Dave Catton left, 3 beers on were Yeovil Summerset, Doom Bar and Palmers Copper. Lilleys Pear and Cider was one of the kegs with Thatchers Gold and San Miguel also on. The quality of the Summerset was even better than last time!

ETA's review can almost be cut and pasted into 2012, as this pub consistently maintains its already high standards. Dave the landlord runs an excellent pub. Its quite spacious inside but still retains warmth and atmosphere. Beers when I visited were Yeovil Summerset (excellent), Wadworth Swordfish and Glastonbury Mystery Tor. Thatchers cider on keg. In the summer the garden is a suitable place in which to drink in the sun (when it comes out).

The Camelot is so named because of its proximity to the nearby iron age fort allegedly associated with one the historical characters on whom the Arthurian legends are based. The pub is an old, comfortable building with three small bars, one of which is primarily for eating. An eclectic mix of locals, geeky tourists and beer lovers (and their dogs) make up the clientele. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. There are always 3 or 4 ales and at least one cider on. The Rev Awdry and Yeovil Somerset this week were truly admirable, as usual, and perfectly kept.
If you're travelling down the A303 this pub is well worth finding and makes a wonderful place to spend an afternoon even if you don't want to eat. Highly recommended.
