A backstreet Fullers pub, because of its location it seemed very much a locals pub and largely unspoiled, It has two rooms both traditionally attired. Only Pride and Hophead on handpump, the latter being kept in good condition. Nice enough pub with friendly service.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Builders Arms

Thriving Fuller's community pub; a bit hidden away on a side street between East Croydon station and Addiscombe. Retains two separate bars either side of the central servery, with the lounge extending back to a dining room. Traditionally furnished with unfussy decor throughout. Also has a few wooden benches out front. Pride, Oliver's Island, ESB and the seasonal Front Row (£4.10) available from the bank of four handpumps on each counter.

The Builders Arms is a Fuller’s pub with a thin public bar to the right that houses a dartboard by the entrance, a plasma screen on the back wall, two gaming machines and a few high tables. Standard draught is available from the bar and the four hand pumps were drawing Fuller’s London Pride (x2), Seafarers and ESB. The plasma screen was switched off, but there was some smooth background music playing. The left hand bar is a bigger than the right with the same drink options along the bar. This bar leads to a rear seating area that seemed to be set up for diners. The menus on the tables listed traditional pub food with mains that were priced around the £10 mark. Out the back is a patio beer garden.

I found the service to be polite and I would return if in the area.
