I had booked a table for 8 two wks earlier but on arrival they seemed to have no knowledge of the booking,
Th e pub itself is your average town pub but this is more than compensated by the menu, simple uncomplicated food at very good prices, after waiting for half hour after ordering (pub was not busy) the food arrived and on the whole at was fairly good food with one exception, one of the steakes had turned and tasted sour, when we commented to the waitress she immediately informed us that we wouldnt "get it for free" which kinda spoiled things as all we wanted was it replaced.

To sum up, on the whole most of the food was good and plenty of it and reasonably priced, the surroundings could be better but it was the service that would stop us from returning,

Also i have never been asked to provide a credit/debit card before staff would take our order....
