A very large and lively locals' pub just outside the station, which forms the only sensible drinking place in central Barking while the Spoons is closed for rebuilding. Numerous rooms host a goodly number of original features, which hide behind a general air of being a bit run down although the regulars do not seem to care. Various posters banning drugs, weapons, etc. do not help. There is a fairly basic kitchen to one side, and a benched courtyard drinking area behind. Ales on were just Doom Bar and Sea Fury with the latter in surprisingly good condition.
