Soup Dragon left this review about Round Oak
A modern Crown Carvery restaurant/pub, with patio area. It looks like a barn, which is of course what it is - a brick, white render and red wood open plan, soulless barn. The carvery area is off to the right on entry, with the seating area all around. There is a sort of bar bit tucked-up the left end. The interior is in the all-familiar mix of colours; crimson, yellow, white and so forth. There is a TV, which had sport on. A few old photos are on the walls. The service is fine, and the clientele all dining and family based - hence the grabbing machine as well. Beer; usual tap stuff with M&B MILD, along with Marston's EPA on handpull - this was as dull as the place. Not a place to go for a drink alone.
