Will Larter left this review about The Florentine
A large and impressive stone-built hotel, standing back from the road in the pleasant suburb of Ranmoor. A recent refurbishment sees it now self-described as a pub with kitchen and rooms. There's a large car park at the front, with steps leading up through a terraced patio to the front doors. There's a side entrance also, which leads past two small rooms, set with just two or three dining tables, to the main bar area. The bar itself is quite long, with rows of keg fonts - there are four hand pumps set on the bar back, which is made of rough timber. The beers are mostly from the Marstons stable - at the time of my visit there were Jennings Cocker Hoop and Wychwood Hobgoblin, plus the locally brewed Sheffield Porter and a house beer, Florentine Gold. The Porter was not in the best of condition, and we were charged what in Sheffield is considered a very expensive £3.90 for a pint. There's a quite pleasant sitting area near the front doors, with a fireplace and an eclectic collection of arm chairs - no two alike - though disappointingly the fire was not lit on a bitterly cold night. With the emphasis more on food and accommodation, this is probably not a place to come for just a beer.

Alan Winfield left this review about Fulwood Inn
The Fulwood Inn is a very large pub that is in its own grounds.
Once inside here the pub is quite plush and the room i was in was fairly big, this pub is a Thwaites tied house and there were two of their real ales on the bar i had a drink of Thwaites bitter which was very nice the other beer was Lancaster bomber.
I thought this was a decent pub.
