Fairly unremarkable canalside pub. Modern building with different areas and furnishings. The bar counter is long and covers two walls corner wise, but it was quieter than that implies on my Monday afternoon visit. Three hand pumps with Greene King Abbot, Sharps Doom Bar and Timothy Taylor Landlord. My half of the last named was not bad, but not particularly good either (NBSS 2.5, £5/pint). Good enough for a swift half after a fairly slow journey by train from Stockport. Hoping for better in the next pub.

Hard to disagree with Mr Bs thoughts. Horribly dull with the large open plan interior fairly generic. Fizz-u-likes on the bar and, though pleasant enough, the bar staff always seem to have a vacant look on their faces. If you are going to drink here it's best to sit outside.

frankly it’s awful. A soulless, sparse nightclub like interior (with loud nightclub music to match), expensive crap beer and kids running around the beer garden. two stars for the location only.
