As Al says, just across the raod from Strawberry Studios where 10cc actually got together whilst the individual members were helping Neil Sedaka record an album. Neanderthal Man by Hotlegs aka Kevin Godley & Lol Creme was recorded here when they were setting up the studio and checking for sound quality.
Anyway, the pub is a smart three roomer with the left hand side being more of a taproom with a dartboard & jukebox. The rear room is mainly a pool room and the right hand side is the lounge with a big TV and a quiz machine. Three handpumps on the bar serving Robbies Unicorn, Wizard & Cumbria Way. The Cumbria Way was in decent nick. I didn't really take to this pub even though it's pleasant enough. No idea why really.

Just off the main road. Over the road from Strawberry Studios where bands like Joy Division and The Smiths recorded (though the blue plaque mentions only Paul McCartney, Neil Sedaka, Syd Lawrence and The Stone Roses). The pub itself is up a couple of steps and once inside is friendly enough. Robinson's beers available.
