Danny O'Revey left this review about Hare & Hounds Inn
A village pub that has been slightly modernised, this has two comfortable rooms, one around the wood panelled bar, with coal effect gas fires.
a mixture of usual wood chairs and red velvet benches and horse artifacts on the walls. Also a foxes head, probably appropriate for the name, but slightly outdated in this day & age.
Nice sandwiches, the beer is average Theakstons Best or John Smiths.
An ok stop on the former Whitby/Scarborough rail path.
