Alan Winfield left this review about The Rose of York
The Rose of York looks like it has had a good clean and makeover from the outside.
Once inside it has had a refurb giving it a bright and modern feel.
The main room is U shaped with the bar on the left side, there is some comfy bench seating to the rear left, plus normal tables and chairs to the front left, there are tall tables and chairs to the front right, there were a couple of TVs showing the darts.
There were no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Samuel Smiths Sovereign bitter which was quite a nice keg bitter, the other keg bitters i noted were John Smiths extra cold and Tetley smooth.
The pub was very busy on my late Friday afternoon visit with a good mix of customers.
