The Butchers Arms is a stone built pub that is opposite the Crown pub.
I noticed that two of the four windows had Cask Ale etched into them,so i was pretty hopefull of getting a drink of real ale here,i was wrong.
Once inside there is a large single L shaped room,the serving bar is to the rear left,the floor is part bare boarded and tiled,there is bench seating to the front and rear,plus a couple of tall tables and chairs in the middle area.
There were a couple of unclipped pumps on the bar,so it was another drink of keg crap,i had a drink of Tetley smooth crap which it was,the other keg bitters were Worthington cream crap and John Smiths smooth crap.
There was a TV on showing sky sports,the background music was crap.
All in all a very dissapointing pub,i preferred the Crown across the road.
