It doesn’t get any more basic than the Pineapple with bare board throughout and worn furniture with a few locals to match. These locals were sat in the seating up the right so I sat on the table in the front left that is overlooked by some Citeh memorabilia. The bar counter in the left rear corner supports four standard keg options, I believe I went for half a Fosters. At the rear is an unfurnished and undecorated room that wouldn’t look out of place as part of an abandoned building. Out the back is a rough and ready beer yard. The polite service saves this place from getting another 1/10, but I’ve no idea why anyone would choose here over the other four pubs along this stretch.

Well that's at least twice it's not been brilliant Al! Even more basic than the nearby Crofters. It's just one room with very poor quality furniture and clientele most of whom were fffffing clientele. There's a jukebox and a large TV that was showing snooker. Another poor keg selection. Half of Carling was £1. How do these places survive?

In a world of dire pubs this is definitely a member of the royal family. No real ale, no hygiene and its for deadheads. Probably brilliant most times but not this time.
