A good sized Spoons if you include the first floor gallery. There is a very detailed description of the history of this fine building on Spoons link below. Lots of dark timbers and panelling in here and there is a very long bar along the right hand side. Two sets of 5 pumps on the bar, 7 of which were guest ales. The line up was Jaipur, Leeds Midnight Bell, Milestone Classic Dark Mild, Hanlon's Yellow Hammer, Pheasantry Dancing Dragonfly, Wainwright Gold, Theakston XB and Conwy Rampart. All at £2.78 a pint and the Jaipur was £3.10.

Quite a good Spoons in a nice conversion of an imposing building, extending over several levels with lots of dark woodwork. The Covid screens are a bit distracting but hopefully will be gone one day, otherwise quite pleasant. Three different-style beers from Rudgate were on offer along with the usual stuff.

Not a bad Spoons. I have been here loads of times but for some reason have never left a review before. Twelve Real Ales with a decent selection. Worth a visit.
