Only one table in the entire place not reserved for food.
Prime walking, cycling and fishing country too.
Beer is all badger - Tanglefoot (over £4 a pint) looked good, flat as a pancake.

THE ANCHOR: Pyrford Lock, NOT to be confused with the Anchor pub in Ripley high street, a mile or so away! (Chalk and Cheese..!) A lovely pub, especially on a fine day, and if you are travelling by longboat along the River Wey and you need a place of refreshment of the liquid variety! :o) Its easier to find this pub by boat than it is by car (...I usually get lost in Pyrford/Wisley trying to find it..!) :o( A nice pub when you can find it. 7/10 TJ

Revisit, this time around 1300 on a sunny Thursday in November [another escape from RHS]. Plenty of parking spaces this time, a fair number of people in, but not too crowded, no wait at bar for instance
We were there mainly for lunch, but I had Fursty Ferret, which like my previous Tanglefoot seemed to lack "sparkle" but was not "flat", it was tasty enough though, even at £3.40 a pint
The food chosen this time was baguettes, the cost of £5.25 each may deter you, but they are packed full & do come with reasonable portion of salad & crisps on the side, fair value given area
I will continue using the Anchor when in area, assuming I can park
