Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Sportsman
Isolated Shepherd Neame 'pub' out on the marshes on the Faversham side of Seasalter near the banks of The Swale. I say 'pub' because, although it looks like one, it is a Michelin-stared restaurant that has been voted No 1 Gastropub in the UK five times since 2015. However, after a break of some years, it is now thankfully back open to those just looking for a drink, with seating available in the conservatory running along the building's frontage. Just Whitstable Bay Pale available from the three handpumps, but this was surprisingly (almost shockingly, in the circumstances) priced at £4.60 which is low for the Whitstable area these days. A long-held ambition achieved with this visit!
