Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Flying Machine
1960s housing estate pub, somewhat remote (in feel, if not in terms of actual distance) in a side valley on the western side of the main road. Set on a sloping site, so there's a picture window at the back of the building overlooking the 'scenic' car park, a patch of grass and adjoining properties. Also has a small decking seating area at the front. Two very disused handpumps (despite the Landlord and London Pride clips, and the external 'real ales' signage), and even the John Smith's was off. Had a grudging 1664 (£2.60, half) from one of the keg taps while I noted the usual amenities such as pool, darts and details of forthcoming live music.

A single-story estate pub from the 1960s, shabby outside but welcoming inside. The bar sits on a raised platform, the car park and garden being a level below as the pub is built on a hill. The single large bar is carpeted apart from an area around the entrance which has laminate flooring. There are gaming machines, tv screens and a pool table, and free wifi is available. Smokers are encouraged to use the area at the front entrance. There are a few interesting pictures associated with Biggin Hill's RAF heritage around the walls, and there are England flags on the ceiling and walls to add a patriotic note. Two pumps on the bar, but only Doombar was on offer. This was in very good condition and a welcome pint. The staff were a bit dim, and there were several 'customers' lying around, but none of them seemed to be buying anything. It's a good enough local boozer, and their beer is fine, but given its location, it''s not worth including on a crawl and while I'd be happy to come in if passing, I don't see my rushing back.
