Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Railway Tavern
Has had a bit of a difficult time in recent years, but has recently reopened after a modest refurbishment. This roadside pub near the mainline station certainly looks rather smarter than before - both inside and out - and the historic interest of the building is now more apparent than during its previous incarnation. Mixed furniture and limited decor. Pool. Patio benches out front. With just one of three handpumps in operation (offering Greene King's seasonal Bohemian at £3.20), one gets the impression that there is still way to go to rebuild its customer base, but hopefully things will go well.
