Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Ivy House
Interesting old pub, with various ups and downs over the years. However, the cramped twin-bar layout remains despite the partial gastro-pub makeover with the larger room now the dining area (featuring a semi-open kitchen at the far end). Most of the solid modern tables are set out for dining, leaving just a few seats for drinkers inside (plus a part-covered patio beer garden and a few small tables along the frontage). Harvey's and Tonbridge Brewery's Coppernob available from two of three handpumps on the main (corridor) counter, with a few more keg taps in The Snug bar.

The Ivy house is a small T shaped pub with six or seven tables to the right of the entrance and another four in a bar area to the left. Over half of these tables were reserved and I would have thought that diners take precedence over drinkers so I wouldn’t expect to get a seat during dining times if going here only for a pint. I didn’t see a full menu, but the mains on a chalkboard started at £13. The small bar area is located down a couple of steps where cask Harvey’s Best was available alongside a premium keg range.
There is no television and there was no background music playing during my early Friday evening visit. I didn’t spot any upcoming events which wasn’t a surprise because this is very much a food led pub. One suspects that this is an old pub because anyone approaching six foot should mind their head in and around the toilets. Out the front are a few picnic tables and another couple can be found at the rear.
I found the barman to be very friendly, but this is not my sort of pub so I will leave it to the diners in future.

Bar staff rather dim but friendly. they forgot about your drinks order. But the food was excellent! I had the rump roast and my friends had scampi, burgers etc. it was the best Sunday roast ive had in a long time! Would totally recommend this pub for food!
