When i first went in this pub it was called the Phoenix Inn.
This was a plain looking town pub situated on the run down liverpool street.
Once inside the pub had two rooms and i had a drink in a decent enough bar,the pub was a Bass tied house when i went in it and i had a decent drink of Bass.
This pub has now been converted into an NHS dentists and they are still useing the pubs hanging sign.
There are now no pubs on liverpool road with the Star Inn closing down several years ago,this was a small Marstons tied house.
