This is a pretty basic back street local. The usual removal of internal walls to make one large room has left a too large bar and a small space that makes it difficult to enter the room to the right if there is someone already standing at the bar. To the left are some ordinary pub tables and chairs and a couple of gaming machines. There are three hand pumps, but only Bass available on my visit. This was the pub that impressed me the least on my recent tour of the less-visited pubs in Macclesfield town centre. Perhaps I caught it on a bad day.
