The Maypole was a large victorian built pub that was on the busy broughton road,it was also very handy if getting off a train at the now closed Pendleton station.
Once inside the pub had seen better days and it seemed a bit down at heel,i went in a largish room that was'nt that inviting,the pub was a Bass tied house and there was one real ale on the bar this was Stones bitter and this was a decent drink.
Sadly this pub has closed down along with the station and most other buildings around here.
