We visited this pub expecting to find it would be like many other country pubs which are restaurants that sell beer. It was the middle of the afternoon, and the restaurant, which is to the right, was closed. There is a small bar in the middle, with one table in it, and Crouch Vale Brewers Gold and Black Sheep Best Bitter on draught. There is another bar to the left with Old Speckled Hen on draught. This bar was busy with local customers, and the whole place is unspoilt, (some may say scruffy,) and still retains the atmosphere of a pub.
