The Three Horseshoes is a 17th century coaching house set in a prominent position on Galgate in the centre of town. After being closed for over 2 years the pub finally opened it's doors again after an excellent £750,000 refurbishment.
On entry the bar is up a few steps to the left, with a seating area to the left of the doorway and another one to the right which is mainly made up of Chesterfields and other leather settees.Up the steps in front of the spacious bar is another smart opened up area and beyond the bar is an area that is mainly used for dining. The flagged flooring, quality furniture and the stone work were quite impressive and would certainly call in again. There were 3 cask beers to go at on my Friday morning visit plus a varied food menu.
