Another dark pub with a beer patch at the back. The journey to Corwen by bus is very scenic but sadly the pubs are not particularly good.

Basic town centre pub with pool table. Two gleaming handpumps on the bar are sadly unused. I was told there is not enough demand for Real Ale. Perhaps when the steam train reaches town from Llangollen, demand will increase.
The pub is involved in the "Pub is the Hub" scheme where children plant vegetables and upkeep the pub garden then get a chance to cook them in the Cosy Cottage Cafe (also in the pub garden).
