The Station was in the Good Beer Guide as recently as 2020, but it no longer stocks a real ale, despite several handpulls. The drinks choice is restricted to John Smith's, Heineken, Amstel, Moretti, Guinness & Strongbow.
Bar staff were very young, but cheerful enough and the drinking environment around the central bar was light and airy.
Just a couple of other customers were rattling around, with there bring notably more delivery drivers and tradesmen appearing than punters.
Despite being called the Station, it's not particularly near the railway station.

Now a Craft Union pub and seems to have turned into more of s sports bar, located at the top of Station Road rather than by the station. This is a modernised main street pub with a student feel, possibly due to the table tennis table occupying a large area. A very light and bright interior has lots of windows and a pastel green colour scheme. Look for the splendid windows at the back for an indication of what it might have been like once. A nice row of 6 handpumps stand on the bar, but sadly only one was in use and produced a very indifferent Landlord (the beer not the publican). Rather disappointing.

This pub has certainly changed since the last time I was here. Previously it was a rather mundane place inside but it is now a much more lively place. Its now a lot brighter and a lot more modern. There is now more real ale choice as there are 5 handpumps. A decent mix of beer styles were on on my visit with pale, blonde, stout and bitter beers on.
